Peter Snelgar was born in England in 1941. He has a junior sporting background and later attended the Swindan college of the Arts. His father, being in the Air Force, was transferred to South Australia in 1958. Peter began painting and selling his work at the local market. This small scale success grew and resulted in him becoming one of Australia's most sought after artists. His works are traditional Australian scenes with his depiction of Kakadu wetlands being most sought after. A lovely addition to any collection.
